An Unforgettable Activity
Everyone has some unforgettable activities. So do I.
The most unforgettable activity in my memory was to visit the old on Sep 9th last year. Before that day, my classmates made a decision to call on the old and helped them so that we could celebrate them for their own festival. First, we helped them with the housework in order to offer them an comfortable environment. Then, we showed some excellent performance. For example, singing some songs, telling interesting stories and so on. Although we were very tired, we were still very happy in the heart.
From this instructive activity, I learn that everyone should do something to the old. To make others happy, we will gain the happiness at the same time. What an unforgettable activity it was!
I still remember that an unforgettable thing happened to me in the winter holidays.
On a sunny morning, I decided to climb the mountain near my hometown with my parents. At first, since it was my first time to climb a mountain, I was very excited. But soon I found the higher I climbed, the more tired I was. It was so hard for me that I wanted to give up. At that time, my parents encouraged me to go on. So I did my best. When I got to the top, I saw the beautiful view below. I felt so proud of myself.
From this unforgettable thing , I learned “where there is a will, there is a way”. I think I won’t give up easily in my life.

It was really an unusual experience what happened on my birthday last year.
As a Grade Nine student, I was always busy like a bee all the time, but I was still looking forward to my birthday very much . To my surprise , on my birthday my mum only gave me an English saying as my present: No pains, no gains. She told to me:’ This year may be hard and difficult , but you should face it bravely. A person who is successful is not born with talent, but with hard work..’ After that, whenever I was in trouble, the saying always encouraged me to keep going and never give up.

Food is a necessary part in our daily life. Different people like eating different food. For me , my favourite food is what my mother cooks.

As we all know, Rome wasn’t built in one day. Neither was shanghai.
It was a fishing town in China long time ago. But it has been developing so fast since the 20th Century. With the development of economy, shanghai gets more and more attractive.
Living in this city is a great pleasure. So it attracts many foreigners from different countries. After the successful 2010 World Expo ,Shanghai has stood the stage of the world to show its magic. An English saying: A coin has two sides. It means keeping pet dogs has advantages and disadvantages. In my opinion, I am for keeping pet dogs. There are many reasons for this.
First of all, animals are our good friends. If we treat them well, the world will become more and more friendly.

How to prepare for a test
As a student, it’s common for us to have tests . How to prepare for a test?
Though I always feel upset (焦虑、不安)before exams, I still have my own way to prepare for it. First, I will have a good attitude to it. Besides, I will arrange(安排) the time carefully to review the knowledge .What’s more, don’t stay up（熬夜） when we have a test. The most important, being confident and careful will have a good/effective result.

I used to be poor at English .Worst still, I never passed the English test. So I was always upset. But one day, I made up my mind to work hard at English. Every day , I listened to the teacher and did my homework very carefully. I kept writing an English diary and so on. Step by step, I made progress and finally I passed my English test for the first time. I was so excited at that time that I never forget it. From this I know we should try our best when we study.
