manipulated during said subsequent needle penetration. A chain stitch conversion devicefor a conventional lock stitch sewing machine operating on this principle is disclosed. Alsodisclosed is a novel combination of a chain stitch forming mechanism with a sewingmachine skip stitch mechanism.
