My college life
I am proud of being a college student. I like my college life as it is so wonderful time in my youth. As being born in small village of the remote countryside, I didn't have a good education environment. However, I set a goal and felt confident to be a college student. After hard study, I passed the entrance examination of national college by excellent achievement. All people were proud of me, as I was the first college student in my village. I was farewell warmly by them when I came to school. I was warmly welcome by school, too. After then, I’ve felt my study is not only for myself but also for the honor of my village neighborhood and our school.
The college life is wonderful. All life in school are fresh. New teachers, new classmates and fresh friends are around me. I’ve felt their friendship, wide knowledge and opening mind. The grand library, school buildings and wide playground are very attracting to me. I am very eager to learn much knowledge quickly. In high school, I was ever called as a runner before time. Now,I know I am behind time so much in fact. I hope to catch up with the time by my hard studying. Every day, you can see me get up early, doing exercise hard and go to school the first one. At night, I am the one who leaves away the library. The most interesting thing is that I can’t speak the PUTONGHUA well and made many funny events at the beginning, as I am from South. When I entered the classroom at first time, I was headache as I couldn’t understand what the professor was speaking. I met much difficulties at math, physics and other courses, even though I used to be good at these sciences. Therefore, I
learn these courses myself after class. After three months, the exmination indicated that I overcame all the difficlties. I also improved my listening and spoken ability of Chinese quickly. Communication is very important to my college life. I study English hard as well. It makes me have many chances to communicate with foreigners. I made friends with many foreign teachers and students. From them, I learn many knowledge about foreign cultures. The computer room is another place I like to staying. I contact the outside world by the internet. All the News, advance science, and the information about internal and outside of China.
Besides study, my college life is also very colorful. I’d like to take any chance to improve my communication skill. I am the monitor and playing an active role in class and school. Last year, I organized a speech match in management department. All the classmates were very interested in this kind of activity. I learned from them much about their hometown, their knowledge and opinions. At the same time, I shew my beautiful hometown to everyone. In school, I take care all the classmates around me. I am so poor due to from the romote countryside. The school pay most the fee for my education. I feel very happy. However, I know some classmates are poorer than me. I am willing to care them and encourage each other.
My college life is long and short. I believe that I can spend a good time in the four years. I hope I will have no any regretion when I look back the short youth of college in the future.
I'm now a grade 2 student....everyday i feel boring...listening to music ,chating,do few reading...rarely participate in social practice...what do you do?
or what is your opinion about college life...
now,i‘m a sophomore in college as lz does, however most of the time i do wish i could have another 24 hours per day to deal with all the things about my major ,language learning and something i really interested in。
my point is lz doesn't actually need to define what exactly college life is。just figure out what you wanna be and take on the things that your life offers
When I were in college , I always said to myself , \" I want to work . I want to earn money.\" But now, I think college life is the best . But I cann't go back.
i'm a sophomore, too. i feel boring everday as some guys do. i am just wating my summer vocation. i feel depressed when i think of my future.
my college is nothing special except CIM. i would like to introduce CIM to you guys. it's Campus Integrity Movement, so my college students soldem cheating. is that great?
i hope i can learn some useful things in my college.
last year i was a sophomore and i was also like you, living a boring life.
since upgrading into the third grade, i suddenly feel that everything is different. you have to have a plan about your future and there is not much time to waste. as i didn't decided whether to study abroad until this semester, everything seems too haste for me.i just took the ielts test without enough time to prepare, and i have to take the GMAT next semester because the deadline of handing up application is the end of January in 2011.
so, my suggustion is that since you still have plenty of time to think about your future, take a serious thought and make the final desition as soon as you can.if you wanna go abroad, then you could start to prepare the language tests, cauze i do feel that it is so unadvised to delay all the things together.if your wanna start your career after graduation, you could try to find some internships to gain some experience.
anyway, there is no much time to waste, the taste of regret feels like nothing but bitterness
The majority of these students spend substantial amounts of free time online, playing Internet games such as Warcraft and Counterstrike or chatting with friends. The most common social activity is going out to dinner with friends or going strolling through the city center.
In China, college life is a little more basic. And thus, Chinese college students seem to feel a little less self-important than we do in the U.S.
Congratulations! You've been accepted into college. You're excited and maybe a little bit nervous. What can you expect? Read on for our advice.
Prepare yourself for a new life at college
Entering college is like starting a new phase of life where you have to learn to support yourself. You will have to adjust to your new surroundings, try to do everything by yourself and learn to stand on your own two feet. As you negotiate the ups and downs of student life, you will learn how to manage the situations that arise.
Learn to enjoy the hardships
We all know college life is wildly different from middle school. It's the place where teenagers become adults and academia meets society. Ideally, your time at college will help you mature physically and mentally, equip you with knowledge and prepare you for your professional career.
It's a challenging process, so it's not realistic to expect everything to always work in your favor. You won't win every prize and you won't be popular with all your classmates all the time. The set-backs and challenges – like failure, betrayal and unjust treatment – are just as important for your growth as the good times. Only once you have experienced these things will you know what society and life is like.
Communicate with others
College is just like a small society, so you have to communicate with your peers to make the most of your time. Social communication is easier to learn than technology. Smile at your classmates, show your concern and speak with them. Then they will be happy to help you in return.
Take on your own responsibilities
You are becoming a fully-functioning adult in society. Don't count on others to make decisions or plans for you. You are your own master. As an active student, you should plan your life and manage your study right from the start of your college life. Face up to your troubles bravely and don't run away.
College is a very important time of your life and you should make the most of it. You will learn as much from the real world as you will from textbooks, as much from practice as theory. If you pay attention, you will acquire precious knowledge, goods sense, social experience and determination.
