摘要：A method for use with a coating process includes depositing a ceramic coatingon a substrate (12) within a coating chamber (14). Prior to depositing the ceramic coating,an electron beam source (20) is used to heat a ceramic material (18). The ceramic material
(18) radiates heat to heat a substrate (12) to an oxidation temperature to form an oxidelayer on the substrate (12). A desired evaporation rate of the ceramic material (18) isestablished during the heating to thereby provide an improved ceramic coating.
