教学过程及内容 StepⅠLead-in Mark Twain is probably one of the few American writes with whom students are already familiar.This exercise makes the teacher know how much know about this writer and decide how much they need to know about this author before they read this play . StepⅡPre-reading Get the students to question with their partners,and then ask if ypu have a large amount of money ,how would you like to use. Step III Reading 1.Scaning Give the students some time and then answer some questions A:How did Henry Adams come to England? B:Where did Henry work before?How much did he have? C:What did the two gentlemen give Henry? D:When can Henry open the letter? StepIV post-reading Do comprehending exercise and explain Eg:They bought a large amount of furniture moved their new house. Make a debate:Making an arrangement to risk an event of which result is doubtful. Eg:My mother doesn’t permit to come into the street after it rained. Paragraph1 The whole day: Watching a family of chimps wake up. We follow as they wander into the forest. The mother chimp and her babies play in the tree. Go to sleep together in their nest for the night. Paragraph2 Three Things:  She discovered that chimps hunt and eat meat. She observed chimps as a group hunting a monkey and then eating it. She also discovered how chimps communicate with each other. Paragraph 3 True or forth: She hopes that chimps can be left in the forest.√ She supposes that people should not use chimps for entertainment.√ She has spent more than forty years helping people understand her work.√ She has built many special places for the wild animals to live in.√ Paragraph 4 The achievement of Jane: Working with animals in their own environment. Gaining a doctor’s degree for her studies. Showing that women can live in the forest as men can. Step VII Discussion 1. Do you think Jane Goodall was brave to go and live in the forest? 2. Would you have done what she did if you had the chance? 3. What made Jane Goodall a great success? What should we learn from Jane Goodall? Step VIII Homework Review what we have learned in this unit.
