My mum have retired for 5 years and her job is to be an excellent housewife. And now, she is. The reason why my dad and I give her the great honour is that she is an expert in cooking. No matter what she cooked, the smell and the look of it just like magnets for me and I couldn’t help to have a taste of it. When I asked my mum why she is so good at cooking, she said: “it’s attitude. When you regard cooking as enjoyments instead of missions to accomplish, you are on the way.” When I began to observe, I was astonished to find that every time my mum cooked, she looked very happy. When I asked her for details, my mum told me that her enjoyments of cooking partly came from the collocations of different raw materials, for example, spare rib stewed with kelp contains different nutrition and have different taste compared with that stewed with cucumber. My mum also stress the importance of spices, for instance, fried Chinese cabbages is less tasteful without garlic cut into slices. In brief, my mum (is a good cook/ is a success to be a housewife/ is a successful occupied retired one).
