13、The more books you read, the better your life will be. If you don’t believe me, please consider the following reasons to read more books.
You will have strong brain power .Studies suggest reading makes you smart. Unlike watching television, which requires no thought process(过程), reading is an active learning experience that will keep your mind sharp (even in old age). You will travel to a new world . Sometimes our daily life can start to get boring . At times like this, I like to dive into a good fiction book, where I can forget about whatever problems are stressing me out. I’ll come back refreshed after my mini-vacation to a fresh and exciting place in the world of words.
You will improve your vocabulary . The more words you’re able to use, the better you will become at expressing your thoughts and feelings. I couldn’t imagine how I would write articles like this if I didn’t actively aim to improve my vocabulary, because using the same few words to express myself would get awfully boring in a hurry.
You will entertain yourself at a low price .If you’re looking for entertainment without much money, reading is your best choice. Thanks to the popularity of electronic reading devices(设备), it’s never been easier to entertain yourself for hours at a time, for the low cost of a few dollars.
You will discover surprising new ideas. Reading introduced me to concepts (概念)like mindful eating, relaxation
exercises, and the importance of loving yourself. If I didn’t read, I wouldn’t realize these ideas. If you don’t read, you will miss many surprising new ideas.
You will become an expert(专家) in your field . Don’t you think reading articles and books by experts in your field might make you better at what you do? If you don’t learn more about your profession, then your lack of passion could be a sign that you’re in the wrong field.

I always felt sorry for the people in wheelchair. Some people, old and weak, cannot get around by themselves. Others 14、
seem perfectly healthy, dressed in business suits. But whenever I saw someone in a wheelchair, I only saw a disability, not a person.
One day, I fainted because of low blood pressure. It scared my parents. The doctor said that I must rest for a while. I agreed to take it easy but, as I stepped to the door, I saw my dad pushing a wheelchair in my direction! Feeling the color
burn my face, I asked him to push that thing right back to where he found it.
I could not believe this was happening to me. Wheelchairs were fine for other people but not for me, as my father wheeled me out into the main street, people immediately began to treat me differently.
Little kids ran in front of me, forcing my father to stop the wheel chair suddenly. People looked down at me, pity in their eyes. Then they would look away, maybe because they thought the sooner they forgot me , the better they would feel. “I’ m just like you!” I wanted to scream. “The only difference is you’ve got legs, and I have wheels. ” But I had to taste the bitterness (痛苦) by myself.
People in wheelchairs are not different. They see every look and hear each word. Looking out at the faces, I finally understood: I was once just like them. I treated people in wheelchairs exactly the way they did not want to be treated.I realized it is some of us with two healthy legs who are truly disabled. 1.The author once ________ when she was healthy. C.thought it was ready for his father D.got ready to move around in it at once 4.The experience of the author tells us that “_________”. A.Life is always the best teacher. B.People often eat their bitter fruit.
C.Don’t do to others what you don’t want others to do to you. D.Life is so changeable that nobody can know it until it happens.

Anyone coming to Guangzhou is sure to have a good time. Located in the south of China,Guangzhou, with a history 19、
of more than two thousand years, plays a significant role in both economy and culture of China. With moderate as well as comfortable climate, Guangzhou is famous as a flower city for its distinctive food.
I strongly recommend Canton Tower-a badly well-known scenic spot. First of all, Canton Tower is so grand and beautiful especially in the evening that you can't help being fascinated by it. In addition, when you arrive at the top of Canton Tower, you have such a valuable chance to look down at the full view of Guangzhou. Last but not least, you can take a large number of nice photos in a setting of Canton Tower.
As far as I am concerned, there is no doubt that Guangzhou is good choice for you to visit. I am sure that you will enjoy yourself while making a visit in Guangzhou. Guangzhou is waiting for you.
