Doing is Better than Saying
As is known to all, we learn knowledge from the books we read. As the saying goes, “Books are the food for the hungry of great mind.” Thus it can be seen that reading is a very important part of our life. Having said that, in my view, practice is the source of great theory. All experience heads from practice. The formation of great theory again leads and promotes great practice.
From the angle of philosophy, practice is the only criterion for testing truth. This opinion is particularly significant for scientists. In no way can theory be separated from practice. Scientists can test predecessors’ theory and develop their own experiences through practice. This is the biggest mistake that it is provided in accordance with other ideas to solve the problem when scientists face the difficulties. What’s more, due to the strong competition in the society, many students have a lot of schooling to do right now. In order to ease that pressure, education should pay greater attention to practice. Here is an example of Chinese history can be used to appreciate this statement. There was a man called Zhaokuo in the Warring States Time. When he was young, he was proficient in all kinds of methods of fighting. Nobody can master him. However, as soon as he joined the war, his troops were defeated by the enemy. The reason was threat he didn’t know how to integrate theory with practice.
From all these examples it may be gathered how important of the practice. We are keenly aware that “theory is theory”, and that action is key. We cannot reading blindly. The best way we get knowledge is to combine theory with
practice.
