摘要：An improved system for large scale production of antibodies in cell culture isprovided. In accordance with the present invention, cells expressing an antibody aregrown in media that contain manganese at a concentration of between approximately 10and 600 nM. The use of such a system allows production of an antibody with an increasedglycosylation pattern and/or a glycosylation pattern that more accurately reflects theglycosylation pattern of the naturally occurring antibody. An antibody expressed inaccordance with the present invention may be advantageously used in the preparation ofpharmaceutical compositions.
