摘要：A mail-receive noticing system and method and provided for automaticallynotifying a destination terminal of a fact that an electronic mail reaches a host computer.A mail-sending terminal (161) includes a mail-receiving notice instructing device foraccepting a mail-receiving notice instruction of a sender on the sending terminal given

depending upon urgency or importance level of the mail and an information sendingdevice for sending mail-receiving notice instructing information generated based on theaccepted mail-receiving notice instruction, together with a sending signal of an electronicmail to a host computer (180). The host computer (180) includes a device for receivingthe mail-receiving notice instructing information from a sending terminal (161) andprocessing devices (100, 102, 106) for generating a mail-receiving notice indication basedon the received mail-receiving notice instructing information and sending the same to areceiving terminal (160). The destination terminal (160) includes a mail-receive noticingdevice (150) actuated by the received mail-receiving notice indication for noticing that anelectronic mail reaches the host computer (180) to a user in an informing fashiondifferent along urgency or importance level of the mail instructed by the sender.
