There are many animals in the world. Some are dangerous, but some are not. Some live in the forests. 101 We can often see tigers, elephants, monkeys, pandas, bears, snakes and many other animals in the zoos. Among them pandas only live in China.

Pandas are lovely animals. Most of them live in the deep forests of Sichuan Province in China. 102 Their shoulders, legs, ears and eyes are black. Pandas are usually very heavy. 103 However, pandas are very agile. They can climb trees as easily as some other animals do.

Pandas live mainly on bamboo leaves. They have big and sharp teeth. Every day each grown-up panda eats about 15 — 30 kilos of bamboo leaves. 104 Pan-das also have spare time hobbies. Two of their hobbies are climbing trees and sleeping.

Students in Japan are trying a new kind of travelling. In the past they could only go to the museums. That was boring for the teenagers. They often went by bus. Many of them felt asleep in the museum. 96 They can go to factories, villages and many other places they like. They explore the great outdoors and learn from the society and some of them even go to far away places.

Experiential education(体验式教育) is now very popular in North America. 97 Just look at the JTB, Japan's biggest travel agency. It has more than 300 different travel programmes for students and schools. More than 25 schools have taken part in the programmes since 2001.

Wherever they go , they enjoy helping disabled(残疾) people. 99 By doing so, they learn how to take care of others. It' s an experience that students will never forget.

I believe listening is powerful medicine. Studies have shown it takes a doctor about 18 seconds to interrupt a patient after he begins talking.

It was Sunday. 81 I got into her room. She was an old woman, sitting at the edge of the bed, trying to put socks on her feet. When she saw me , she asked if I could help put on her socks. Usually I asked my patients something like this : \"How are you feeling? The nurse said your son is visiting you today. 82 \" She stopped me with a serious voice. \" Sit down, doctor. This is my story, not your story.\" I was surprised and embarrassed. I sat down. 83 She began to tell me that her only son lived around the comer from her, but she had not seen him for five years. She believed her health problems were worse because of the stress of missing her son. After hearing her story and putting on her socks , I asked if there was anything else I could do for her. 84 All she wanted me to do was to listen.

Each story is different. Some are clear ; others are not. Some have a beginning, middle, and end. Others wander with out a clear ending. Some are true ; others are not. 85 What matters to the storyteller is that the story is heard ― with out interruption or judgment.

Listening to someone 's story costs less than expensive di agnostic testing but is key to healing (康复).I often thought of what that woman taught me , and I reminded myself of the im portance of stopping, sitting down and truly listening.

For as long as I could, I continued to see patients. I still teach my students and other health care professionals , but now from the view of doctor and patient , I tell them I believe in the power of listening. A. Yet all those things do not really matter. B. I helped her with the socks. C. I had one last patient to see. D. Your sugars and blood pressure were high but they ' re worse today. E.
