My Most Favorite Person in the Whole Wide World

Hi there! My name is Jessica and I'm a college student. I'm going to tell you all about my most favorite person ever. Get ready, because this is going to be super epic!

My favorite person's name is my grandma Alice. She's the oldest person I know at 87 years old! Can you believe how many years that is? It's almost a hundred! Grandma has been around for a really, really, really long time.

Grandma Alice lives on the other side of town in this cute little yellow house. It's painted bright yellow which makes it easy to spot when we're driving over. Her house always smells like fresh-baked cookies or potpourri. The backyard has the most beautiful flower garden with roses, tulips, sunflowers and all sorts of other pretty flowers. Grandma works hard taking care of all those plants!

The inside of Grandma's house is so cozy. She has a fireplace in the living room with a giant old green sofa that's super slouchy and comfy to snuggle up on. There are shelves filled with books and little ceramic figurines. And she has the most amazing

collection of family photo albums going all the way back to when she was a kid!

My favorite room is the kitchen because that's where Grandma does her baking magic. She makes the gooiest, most delicious chocolate chip cookies. And her apple pies are legendary - the flakiest crusts with cinnamon apples oozing out. Just thinking about her baked treats is making my mouth water! Grandma has the snowy whitest hair that she keeps styled in a cute little perm. Her face has lots of wrinkles from all her years of smiling and laughing. She has the most kind, twinkly blue eyes that just make you feel loved. And her hugs are the warmest, coziest hugs in the universe. I could stay wrapped up in her arms forever.

What I love most about Grandma is how she always has time for me. She's never too busy to chat, play a game, or read stories together. When I'm with her, she makes me feel so special and important, like I'm the only person in the world. Grandma is an amazing listener - she'll sit there for hours letting me ramble on about whatever, never interrupting, just taking it all in with that loving look on her face.

Grandma grew up on a farm way out in the country when she was little. She tells the most fascinating stories about herding

sheep, milking cows, and exploring the woods as a kid. Grandma says that's why she has such an appreciation for nature and loves being outdoors, even at her age. Sometimes we'll take walks together and she'll point out all the different birds, trees and flowers like she's my own personal park ranger!

Despite her age, Grandma Alice has a real youthful spirit and super sharp mind. She loves learning about the latest gadgets and technology. It's hilarious watching this tiny old lady expertly navigate a smartphone or tablet better than I can! Grandma reads constantly - books, magazines, newspapers. She's just an endless well of knowledge about pretty much any topic you can think of. I swear she's smarter than some college professors. Grandma Alice is the most selfless, caring person I know. She's always putting others first and going out of her way to help people however she can, whether that's volunteering, donating, or just being a listening ear when someone is struggling. She has the biggest heart and is such a positive force of kindness in this world.

I could go on forever about all the reasons Grandma is the absolute best. She's affectionate, wise, accepting, patient - the list is endless! Grandma Alice has been a constant source of love and support my whole life. She's my role model for the kind of

person I strive to be. I'm just so grateful to have such an incredible grandma.

So that's my most favorite person in the whole wide world - my dear, sweet Grandma Alice. Spending time with her is like getting a great big warm hug from someone who loves you unconditionally. No matter what's going on in life, being around Grandma makes everything feel all right. She's battled through so much in her long life yet maintains such a joyful, resilient spirit. Grandma Alice reminds me to appreciate the simple things, to see the beauty in nature, to be endlessly curious, and to care for others. She's irreplaceable and I love her to the moon and back a million times!
