I, as your faithful reader, am writing this letter to suggest that plastic bags should be banned in our daily life. However, to my surprise and sadness, I have found that plastic bags are still widely used in some areas just because people are unwilling to change their old habits, thus causing their surroundings to be even worse.

To solve this serious problem, I would like to put forward a couple of practical suggestions. Above all, our country should take effective measures to limit the production of those bags and monitor the use of them. Besides, some other choices should be advocated to replace plastic bags with paper or bamboo

ones. Finally, consumers should pay for the use of plastic bags so as to increase their consciousness of environmental protection.

May dear fellow students, how may of us play enough attention to the expenses of our life? How may of us have ever calculated the energy we consume every day?

Nowadays, we are living a much more comfortable life than in the

past. At the same time, we are consuming much more energy than in the past. As we all know, we are running out all kinds of resources. But on our campus, we can still see many students wasting electricity and water, leaving water running and lights on at midday. Similarly, many of us throw away bottles and used books, which can be recycled. Furthermore, some students are wasting much food in the cafeteria, leaving lots of food untouched.

All in all, I want to call on all of us students to start from today to re-examine our daily life and try to live an economical life.

On the one hand, it saves much time, money and effort to purchase goods via media since you don’t have to go to the shops in person. Besides, you can choose what you want from so many kinds of goods on display. On the other hand, you may be cheated sometimes by the false information and suffer a big loss.

As far as I am concerned, shopping via media brings great benefits to our life and our economy

on the whole. At the same time, we need to strengthen supervision over the information released via media. In this way, we can get more benefits from shopping via media and reduce the possible harm to the minimum.

It aims at encouraging everyone, in particular young people, to discover the pleasure of reading and gain a respect for the contributions of those who have furthered the social and cultural progress of humanity.

Good books are our good friends because they are bridges to knowledge, enriches our life and brings us happiness. Books also open the windows to the past for us and enable us to look forward to the

future.

As for me, I prefer reading biology books because I dream of becoming a biologist. Then I can learn about various creatures and make friends with them. Also I will take some effective measures to protect them and call on people to live in harmony with them.

In my view, I have benefited a lot from reading books. Books broaden my views and develop my interest in science, even shape my life.
