I’m Tom, a middle school student. To some extent, I think, middle school students are some kind of privilege class (特权阶级), because though we aren’t armed with power and wealth, we are protected so well. For example, we buy half price bus or train tickets when travelling around. We go to amusement parks and cinemas with discounted tickets or sometimes no tickets at all. Special laws are made to protect us teenagers. We are actually taken good care of both in and out of school.
However, I’m surprised when I see how some of us behave on public occasions. Some get away from not buying bus or train tickets, taking school uniforms as immunity (豁免权) from punishments. Some litter or spit around when they are out of school. In restaurants or museums or cinemas they talk and laugh loudly, ignoring all the other people. Some often hang around streets, smoking or drinking, talking wildly with dirty words.
I really feel ashamed by them, and at the mean time, I’m puzzled. I think most of them are well-behaved ones in their schools, but why don’t they keep disciplined on public occasions? I think maybe we are over-spoiled by society. 【写作内容】

Tom, as a middle school student, expresses his gratitude for being taken good care of by society, but feels ashamed and puzzled by some of his schoolmates’ improper behavior on public occasions.
What surprised the author also puzzles me. It’s unbelievable to see some of my obedient and polite classmates at school turn into uncivilized strangers the moment they walk out of the school gate. It seems that they love to do what they are not allowed at school.
I guess here are some of the reasons why. Perhaps they feel too bored and restricted at school and want to be in a no-rule state. Maybe they want to be like adults, not students. Or probably they just want to play it cool, learning those bad manners from movies or TV series. Anyway, they tend to be completely different selves from school kids.
I believe that once we put on school uniforms, we should be educated ones instead of two-faced beings. Even after we take off uniforms, we should still be civilized, polite, loving, and trustable. The society is tolerant to us, but we should deserve the kindness.
