1. Why do people get depressed? Is there any connection between depression and bad luck? Can depression be overcome?

There are some reasons for why people get depressed.Firstly, some people always set goals that are beyond themselves.Once they fail to achieve their goals,they get depressed.Another reason is that,people are under too much pressure and they often fell uncomfortable which may lead to depression，too.Of course,depression can be overcomed.

2. Mention at least three reasons people get angry? What can we do to overcome our anger?

First,I think people get angry when they are cheated.Sccond,if people are treated rudely,they may get angry.The last but not least,when people cannot get what they are deserved,they often get angry，too.To overcome anger,we can listen some soft music.Also,we can do some outdoor exercises to divert our mind.And the best way is talking with your friend.

3. In what ways can people improve their appearance?

To improve people`s appearence ,people can learn clothes matching.At the same time,girls should learn how to put on makeup.As for boys,they should have some suits and ties at home.Sometimes,we can look through fashion magagines. 4. Why do some people want to improve their appearance?

Some reasons for people want to improve their appearance are as follows.There is a phenomenon that people think highly of their appearence in our society.In some way , a good appearence make you find job easily.And it is helpful in social contact.So there are more and more people want to improve their appearence.

5. Should managers be strict with or kind to their employees? Give your reasons. I think it`s better that manager should be kind to their employees.Because it`s easy to make your employees to help you if you are kind to them.A good manager should be polite to people and be strict in work.So it`s better to be kind to their employees. 6. After finishing undergraduate studies, would you like to find a job or pursue a postgraduate degree? Give your reasons.

I would like to pursue a postgraduate degree.Because a postgraduate degree is an astepping-stone to success .And more and more employers are inclined to employ postgraduates rather than undergraduates.A postgraduate degree may help you find a good job.The last but not least,knowledge is limitless, we should keep studying.

7. Do you think success is due more to luck and opportunity or to diligence? Give your reasons.

Success is due to more to diligence but it also need luck and opportunity.As we all know, genuis is 99% perspiration and 1% inspiration.There is no shortcut to success other than diligence.But success lies in many factors,luck and opportunity are indispensable.So we should always keep diligent until luck and opportunity arrive. 8. Do you think the computer and the Internet as sources of entertainment? Give your reasons.

Of course not.There are many sources of entertainment in our life.For example,hobby is a source of entertainment.You can enjoy yourself when you do what you like.A good hobby also help you make more friends.As for computer and the Internet,though they are useful in some way,we should not spend too much time on it.Because it is harmful to our social contact and physical health.

9. Would you like to go on a tour during the vacation? Give your reasons.

Of course I`d like.Going on a tour is a good way to relax yourself after heavy study work.And you can learn some local culture at the same time.It`s also a good chance to go out and broden your horizon.

10. Should genetically modified (GM) foods be sold? Give your reasons.

I think they can be sold.Genetically modified (GM) foods are proved to be secure .And there is no more farmland,genetically modified (GM) foods can feed more people.Because genetically modified (GM) foods have more superiorities and they are more easily to be grown.

11. How can we narrow the gap between the rich and the poor?

To narrow the gap between the rich and the poor,we should be agree in the equality between the rich and the poor first.The poor and the rich are equal in law ,the rich should not look down upon the poor.And the authourities should offer jobs to the poor.There should be more equal opportunities for the poor and the rich to achieve their life goals.

12. Should we be punctual for class, work or appointments? If yes, what can you do to ensure punctuality? If no, why not?

It`s certainly that we should be punctual for class,work and appointments.To ensure punctuality,I always set the alarm clock.And I am accustomed to write down the items on my memorandum in case that I would forget.Sometimes, I ask my parents or friends to remind me of that.
